We have received many inquiries regarding multiple entries in the PRO Match category of this tournament. Please find our official response below:

Pairing with Japanese players is permitted (in such cases, multiple entries by Japanese players will be recognized, and all entries will be officially recorded. Japanese players who pair with foreign athletes may also participate even if they are outside the annual ranking). This rule is essentially a support measure for foreign athletes without partners. However, when both players already have established partners, such multiple entries will not be eligible for awards.

We strongly encourage international exchange, and we welcome you to enter as multi-entries with overseas players!

Examples:

1. Ariyoshi × Yamashita, 2. Gayan × Nunes, 3. Ariyoshi × Nunes
   → ① and ② will be treated as main entries. ③ will be considered a multi-entry (not eligible for awards).
   (Since this is an international tournament, Japanese players cannot register with Japanese partners while simultaneously counting a foreign partnership as the main entry.)

2. Ariyoshi × Lucia, 2. Yamashita × Lucia
   → Since both involve the same overseas athlete, one will be treated as a multi-entry (not eligible for awards).

3. Ariyoshi × Lucia, 2. Yamashita × Lucia, 3. Ariyoshi × Okai, 4. Yamashita × Ushida
   → In this case, either ① or ② (only one of them) can be treated as a main entry and will remain eligible for awards.

Summary

• System created to support overseas athletes without partners → Participation allowed / Results officially recorded.

• However, if both players already have partners → Multiple entries are not eligible for awards.

Recebemos muitas perguntas sobre a possibilidade de inscrições múltiplas na categoria PRO Match deste torneio. Segue abaixo a resposta oficial:

É permitido formar dupla com atletas japoneses (nesse caso, múltiplas inscrições de atletas japoneses serão aceitas e todos os registros serão oficiais. Jogadores japoneses que fizerem dupla com estrangeiros também poderão participar mesmo estando fora do ranking anual). Essa regra é, essencialmente, uma medida de apoio para atletas estrangeiros sem parceiro. Entretanto, quando ambos os atletas já possuem parceiros definidos, essas inscrições múltiplas não serão elegíveis para premiação.

Incentivamos fortemente a troca internacional e gostaríamos que vocês participassem como multi-entry com jogadores estrangeiros!

Exemplos:

1. Ariyoshi × Yamashita, 2. Gayan × Nunes, 3. Ariyoshi × Nunes
   → ① e ② serão considerados inscrições principais. ③ será tratado como multi-entry (não elegível para premiação).
   (Como se trata de um torneio internacional, jogadores japoneses não podem jogar entre si e ao mesmo tempo considerar a dupla com estrangeiro como inscrição principal.)
